Only past 18 inches. Up to 18 inches of hand digging is included in the starting price. A deeper lid takes more digging and can add to the price. If your lid is 10 inches or more below the surface, a septic riser brings it up to ground level so the digging stops.

No. Six sections of hose are included, and Keith does not charge a long-run fee. On one Lake Wylie job the tank sat far behind a large house. Keith parked in the front driveway and ran 210 feet of hose through the breezeway and around the house to reach it.

Distance does not raise the price. Obstacles do. On another Lake Wylie job, cars blocked the driveway, so Keith went over a fence and cut down weeds around a set of chicken coops to reach the tank, with a rooster pecking at him the whole time. He charged a little more for that one.
